Staying productive at home, and especially with children around can be a challenge for many of us. In this post, I am going to give you simple but effective steps to stay productive during quarantine.
Quarantine and self-isolation are things we have never experienced before, and they can certainly exert a high level of stress on our minds. This is an extraordinary time, where we need to do extraordinary things to adapt and keep our minds focused.
To stay focused and productive during quarantine is important to make sure to set your alarm clock every day, getting up daily at a reasonable time will allow you to start early and be more productive. Also you need to prioritize keeping your mind and body healthy. Finding motivation at this time is difficult, but if you focus on how you feel overall you will more likely function better.
Tips to stay productive during quarantine.
1. In times of quarantine prioritize your physical health.
To stay focused and productive, nothing better than a work-out routine. During this time of self-isolation, we must be creative to keep our bodies exercised and active. Many applications on the phone today are very feasible for performing complete exercise routines. A space in your living room and an electronic device are all you need to get moving.
2. Implement a new routine to improve mental health.
The human brain likes routines, and quarantine times are no exception. Maintaining a routine is very beneficial in a general sense. Here, I am going to name just a few of the good mental effects that maintaining a routine has, to be more productive in these times of quarantine.
- It helps us to regulate stress levels.
- It helps and facilitates relaxation.
- It gives us back the sense of stability that we have somehow lost during this time.
- It keeps us to stay mentally focused.
- It helps us prioritize time and tasks.
- It helps us avoid procrastination.
- Creates Structure in our Lives.
- Instill good and break bad habits in us.
- It helps us become more Proficient with our time and resources.
- Keeping track of our success.
- It helps us achieve our goals.
3. Prioritize self-care.
During times of quarantine, taking care of ourselves and our body is extremely important. A good routine where self-care occupies an important place in these times of corona virus will not only include a bubble bath but will also include eating healthy, drinking plenty of water, getting daily exercise if possible, maintaining good hygiene habits, not only in our body but in everything around us.
4. Be creative during the quarantine.
In times of quarantine, you will not only have a lot of free time but also your children. Being creative at this time is very important to keep our children busy and entertained, in order to be more productive. This will be the perfect time to stoke up on puzzles and board games for the entire family to enjoy.
5. Structure your day.
Creating a schedule and a structure for your day will be essential to carry out activities such as working from home, checking your accounts, paying your bills, taking classes online, starting a blog, among others. If you structure your hours and give each thing a designated time, you will be eliminating the chance of procrastination and not performing activities that are equally essential to keep your mind busy and productive.
