Ovulation and pregnancy as a result  is a process in which so many things have to be on the perfect timing for them to occur. In this post I am going to tell you all about How to track your ovulation so you can get pregnant faster. Let’s begin!

What is Ovulation?

When a mature egg is released from a woman’s ovary and pushed down the fallopian tube. Once it reaches the end of the tube, the egg can be fertilized by sperm. Women who have a healthy and regular menstrual cycle will ovulate every month. Women are most fertile during ovulation, therefore, is the best time to have unprotected sex if you want to get pregnant.

When Does Ovulation Occur? How to track ovulation to get pregnant fast.

For most women, it occurs 12-16 days after the first day of the last period. The average menstrual cycle is 28-32 days, so ovulation usually occurs at the midpoint of a woman’s cycle. That being said, the timing of ovulation can vary from one cycle to the next and from one woman to another.

What Are the Signs of Ovulation?

Some common signs can include:

  • A white, sticky fluid/vaginal discharge also known as cervical mucus.
  • Slight pain on one side of the abdomen AKA at the ovaries.
  • Increased sexual intercourse drive (increased libido).
  • Light spotting.
  • A slight increase in body temperature (note: this change can only be detected by a basal body thermometer, you need to measure your temperature every day in the morning and keep the track of that when the temperature rises 1 or 2 degrees you are more likely to be fertile that day).
  • Bloating in the abdominal area.
  • A heightened sense of vision, taste or smell.

How Long ovulation last?

Once the egg is released down the fallopian tube, it will only live for 12-24 hours. However, sperm can live 3-5 days inside a woman’s body. A woman’s most fertile time can last 5-7 days depending on how long your cycle is.

For increasing your odds for having a Boy!

If you’re hoping to have a boy, you need to know that male sperm tends to be faster swimmers, reaching the egg more quickly than female sperm. To increase your chances of a boy, mark your ovulation calendar as the 24 hours before ovulation and the 12 hours after ovulation as your optimum ovulation schedule for a baby boy.

For increasing your odds for having a Girl!

To increase your odds for having a girl, you need to give female sperm a little more time to hook up with the egg. On your ovulation calendar plan for three to four days before ovulation to try to conceive a baby girl.

If you’re trying to get pregnant, tracking ovulation can help you conceive faster. There are a few different ways to do this.

One of the most basic and affordable ways to predict it is by tracking changes in your cervical mucus and your body temperature using a basal thermometer.

But kits and fertility monitors can also be used to track ovulation. A predictor kit can be highly accurate because it detects the luteinizing hormone (LH). LH levels rise just before ovulation, so these kits can predict when you are going to ovulate. However, they cannot make sure that you do ovulate.

While ovulation kits can be highly accurate, there are some factors that can cause false readings. Some women with premature ovary failure, PCOS and women in perimenopause may have higher levels of LH even when they are not ovulating.

So interesting to know! It’s crazy how some women get pregnant so easily, and others do not. We took a year and a half to get pregnant, but I think we were stressing too much about it, because it finally happened when I said that we will just wait to try the following year and wanted to quit my job and figure out what I wanted to do with my life. And that is when the most perfect little thing decided to happen lol.

  2. Yes indeed, I kind of experience both, my first time was fast, my second time took a few months. Now for you, it’s probably going to be faster your next time, for 2 reasons, you are not going to stress out, and you already have a baby. I always say that pregnancy is a true miracle where so many things happen on the perfect time. Thanks dear for your thoughts, we’ll keep in touch
